1. The “Red Skyscraper”
The Institute for Fiscal Studies confirmed today that this will be the highest tax-raising parliament since records began. Labour has raised taxes by £70 billion since taking office.
And where is the money going? By 2030, the OBR forecasts we will be spending £406 billion a year on welfare. We are taxing work to fund worklessness. They found £15bn for asylum hotels. They found £1.8bn for Digital ID cards. But for working British families? “Tough choices.”
2. The War on the Countryside
Thousands of farmers descended on London today to fight the Family Farm Tax. They warned that if the government doesn’t listen, they will resort to “French-style” direct action.
And how did the state respond to these peaceful, hardworking people? Did they offer them tea like they do for Extinction Rebellion? No. They used Section 14 orders to ban tractors and arrest them.

3. The Hypocrisy of Luke Akehurst MP
The MP for North Durham stood up in Parliament today and called me “cruel” because Durham County Council is asking for a 10% contribution to Council Tax (£3 a week) to balance the books.
I brought the receipts. While Luke cries crocodile tears, his Labour colleagues in Bradford are charging the poor 30%. In Nottingham, it’s 20%. When Labour charges 30%, Luke is silent. When we charge 10%, it’s a national scandal. I took apart his argument piece by piece.
4. The End of Liberty
While you are distracted by the Budget, David Lammy and the government are quietly plotting to scrap Jury Trials for “intermediate” offenses to save money. Combine that with the push for Digital ID, and we are seeing the dismantling of 800 years of English liberty.
This isn’t just incompetence. It is a betrayal.
