Tony Blair never went to one if I remember right. Labour Party always goes to the miners for support.. Why? The never bothered until they wanted their vote which has depleted enormously. Labour is not for the working class. Labour is for the EU and open boarders and lining their own pockets.
I am a Welsh Miner’s daughter, on 1 January 1918, aged 12 my Dad started work underground full of pride that he was helping the war effort. He was a Labour voter all his life. I voted Labour in 1997, aged 47, grew up very quickly, found Nigel and tried my best to help the Country ever since. All my Ancestors were miners, even cousins.
It was a shock to find after doing Ancestry that my husband’s grandfather died in a mining accident aged 23 in Ashfield, so my husband also has a rich coal mining history in Ashfield. His great grandfather died in a coalmining disaster in County Durham, he is on a plaque there. They fetched his body back to Ashfield for burial.
