Hollywood’s Anti-Male Propaganda: Manufactured Outrage for the Terminally Woke

I write this as someone whose DIY abilities make Alan Carr look like Tyson Fury. If my life depended on building an IKEA shelf, you’d be better off handing me a flatpack coffin. Sure, I love football, but my talent peaked around FIFA on the PlayStation—hardly the hallmark of toxic masculinity. Yet according to Netflix logic, I’m probably seconds away from kicking off my own misogynistic crime spree. Ironically enough, despite not being an angry person by nature, this Netflix series genuinely wound me up—which, being a white bloke, means I've likely just earned myself a prime spot on a Prevent extremism watchlist. Cheers, Netflix.

Netflix Over National Issues

Yesterday at Prime Minister’s Questions, instead of addressing the spiralling cost-of-living crisis or the small matter of our borders resembling a sieve with bigger holes than a Tory manifesto promise, one Labour MP decided to plug a Netflix show—sorry, "documentary," according to Sir Keir Starmer. Yes, Netflix—because apparently, all we need to tackle knife crime is another woke drama with villains paler than the cast of Friends.

Blame Everything but Reality

Now, let me get the obligatory disclaimer out of the way: violence against women is vile, evil, abhorrent—you name it. But since when did Netflix become our national crime prevention strategy? Broken families, fatherless kids, or an education system that treats masculinity like a psychiatric disorder? Nah, let's blame fictional white lads instead.

Hollywood’s Woke Whitewash

Netflix’s latest woke-a-thon, Adolescence, is inspired by Hassan Sentamu, who brutally murdered 15-year-old Elianne Andam in Croydon. But hold on! In Netflix’s "reimagined" universe, the attacker magically becomes white. It’s almost as if reality doesn't fit neatly into their comfortable narrative. Radicalised white bloke? Now that’s box office gold for the avocado-toast classes.

Selective Cultural Outrage

Oh, it's a "cultural problem," says Starmer and Co.—but funny how they never say that when it's Pakistani grooming gangs systematically raping young girls. No task force, no inquiry. Apparently, it’s only worth investigating when you can tell every lad in Britain he's a feral beast who can’t help but smack a woman about.
